About Jason

As a child, Jason drew and painted about as much as any other kid. And, like many other children, his artistic endeavors were crowded out by the responsibilities that come with growing up.

In 1998, Jason began learning to draw portraits in graphite pencil and oil color. Shortly thereafter, he was asked to give individual instruction and before long he was leading art classes in portraiture. For almost a decade, Jason focused his efforts exclusively on portraits, until he developed a wet-on-wet palette knife technique. This high-relief, sculptural technique can be seen in his sky, land, seascape, and wave collections on this site. Today, his art includes works in various mediums, including graphite, watercolor, and oil.  Jason's works are held in private collections in Europe, Asia, North and South America.
